PhotoKeep — Terms of Use

Publisher and service

These terms cover PhotoKeep, provided by SMARTNESS HOME, SAS, at the address in our Legal Notice. Authenticated local vault, AES-256-GCM originals and metadata, encrypted versioned SQLite index, protected OS key lifecycle, camera/selected-image intake, albums/tags/favorites, background lock/privacy protection, preview, verified GPS-safe export, export history and encrypted password backup/restore.

Scope and limitations

Vault recovery requires the device key or an exported encrypted backup and its password. Lost keys and passwords cannot be recovered. Explicit exports leave the vault. Screenshots or external cameras cannot be universally prevented.

Your content and responsibilities

You retain your rights to your content. Import and share only material you own or are authorized to use. Keep appropriate backups and verify important outputs before deleting originals. Do not use the app unlawfully, interfere with its operation or infringe another person’s rights.

Advertising and optional rewards

Public guides may show Google ads. Optional rewarded videos unlock cosmetic accents only when Google confirms completion. Rewards have no monetary or transferable value. Advertiser offers are the advertiser’s responsibility. No core tool requires consent to tracking.

Availability and device limits

The app is intended for the United States market, in English. Features differ between iOS and Android and depend on supported devices and permissions. Reminders, widget refreshes, background execution and third-party services are controlled partly by the platform and are not guaranteed. Updates may change features.

Important decisions

The app is a general-purpose aid. It does not provide medical, financial or legal advice. Check critical results independently. Nothing in these terms excludes rights or liability that cannot legally be excluded.
