This policy describes how SmartnessHome handles information on the website smartnesshome.com (the "Site"), and where to find the privacy policy of each of our applications.

The short version: this Site has no accounts, no forms, and sets no advertising or analytics trackers. Our apps are built local-first: the records you build in them — food journal, vaccination history, portfolio, tarot questions — are written on your device, not to a server of ours. Some features do need the internet: news headlines and market prices are fetched online, and Kalo.Quest sends the meal photo you take to its analysis service, which returns the result and keeps no copy. GetMyNews is the exception: reading needs no account, but members can open an optional account to write stories, comment, sit on the fact-checking jury and be paid, and what that account holds is described in GetMyNews's own policy. The apps are free and show ads through Google AdMob. Each app's own policy has the detail.

1. Data collected by this Site

The Site is a static website. We do not run analytics or advertising scripts on it, and it does not use cookies. Like virtually every website, the servers that host the Site produce standard technical logs (IP address, browser type, pages requested, timestamps) used solely to operate and secure the service.

2. Data handled by our applications

Each application has its own privacy policy — the authoritative document for what that app does with data:

Common to all of them: no account is required to use them (GetMyNews asks for one only to publish, interact or be paid), and your content (food journal, health records, portfolio, reading preferences, questions) is stored on your device rather than on our servers — except what GetMyNews members choose to publish or provide, which GetMyNews hosts as described below. The apps are free and supported by advertising served by Google AdMob (and, on GetMyNews's website, Google AdSense); depending on the app and your settings, advertising may rely on standard advertising identifiers (the Android Advertising ID on Android and, for the apps published on the App Store, the Apple IDFA on iPhone and iPad). See each app's policy for the advertising partners involved and for how to reset or limit these identifiers in your device settings.

GetMyNews member accounts. A member account holds the e-mail address and sign-in method (Apple or Google), the public profile (@handle, name, photo, bio, link, previous @handles), what the member publishes and does (stories, comments, likes, reposts, follows, blocks, reports, jury votes), devices and sessions, notification settings, and IP addresses kept for 30 days. Creators who are paid also provide bank details, stored encrypted; members who apply for the free verified badge provide a government-issued identity document and a selfie, stored encrypted, restricted to the reviewing team and deleted 30 days after the decision (90 days at most while an application is pending). Members can download their data and delete their account themselves in Settings, in the app or at www.getmynews.online; the steps are on our Delete Account & Data page. GetMyNews is free and ad-supported: Google ads are part of the service, in the app (AdMob) and on its website (AdSense), and are personalized by Google, except for members under 18; GetMyNews asks for no consent to show them, and the iPhone and iPad app shows no tracking prompt (Google serves contextual ads there, without an advertising identifier). 3. Your California privacy rights

If you are a California resident, you may have rights under the CCPA/CPRA, including the right to know, delete, and opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of personal information. This Site does not sell or share personal information. For the applications, advertising identifiers used for ad delivery may qualify as "sharing" under California law; each app's privacy policy explains the opt-out available (including limiting ad tracking at the device level). To exercise any right, contact us via the e-mail address in our Legal Notice. For GetMyNews, whose members have accounts, its privacy policy has its own "Your US state privacy rights" section, with the opt-outs available and the request address, contact@getmynews.online.

4. Children's privacy

Our Site and applications are not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. Each application states its own minimum age in its store listing and terms — 13 and over at the very least, and higher for some apps (16+ or 18+; GetMyNews is for people 16 and over, and 18 to be paid).

5. Data retention

The Site keeps no user data beyond standard, short-lived server logs. In the apps, your content lives on your device: deleting the app (or clearing its data) deletes it. GetMyNews member accounts are deleted from the app or the website, with the retention periods its policy states. See Delete Account & Data.
