Daily Trivia — Privacy Policy
Effective: October 29, 2026 · Published by SMARTNESS HOME. Current offline/local-content beta; Google advertising processing is separate.
Daily Trivia is an app for trivia games and daily quizzes. Personal app content stays in app storage rather than a publisher account. Advertising is supplied by Google and is covered separately below.
Who publishes this app
Daily Trivia is published by SMARTNESS HOME, SAS (French simplified joint-stock company), 5 rue Agrippa d'Aubigné, 91090 Lisses, France. Privacy and support contact: contact@smartnesshome.com. Publisher registration: Evry Trade and Companies Register (RCS) No. 829 550 185.
Purposes and choices
The local information listed in this policy is used on your device to provide the features you choose. You do not have to email us or create an account to use those local features. If you voluntarily email us, SMARTNESS HOME receives your email address, message and any information you include so it can handle and answer your request. Please include only information needed for that request.
Google’s advertising and measurement processing is separate from your local app content. Advertising choices and any consent used for personalization or tracking are managed through the controls described in this policy and Google’s own information. An operating-system permission and a consent form are separate choices; refusing tracking does not remove the local app features.
Information stored on your device
The app has no mandatory account or sign-in. The following personal app records are stored in the app’s local database:
- Game sessions and unfinished games: question and choice order, answers, hints, scores, timing, difficulty and category.
- Daily Challenge results, history, favorites, achievements and statistics calculated from these records.
- Appearance, haptics, game length, timer, daily reset time and advertising settings, plus local advertising and rating-request counters.
App servers, analytics and backups
The app does not upload the personal records listed above to a developer account or cloud-sync service. On iPhone, device backups you control may include app data. Device-level backup behavior on other platforms depends on the build and your operating-system settings; no blanket backup opt-out is claimed. Deleting data from the app does not delete files you previously exported or independent device backups.
This version does not send your personal app records to a publisher-operated analytics or crash-reporting service. Google’s advertising diagnostics are described separately below.
No remote analytics service
Daily Trivia does not send product-usage events to a separate publisher analytics service. Its scores and statistics are calculated from records stored on your device. Google’s ad interactions and diagnostics are separate processing described below.
Advertising and test ads
The app uses Google AdMob and Google’s User Messaging Platform (UMP). Google may process device and advertising identifiers, IP-derived approximate location, ad interactions and technical diagnostics to deliver and measure ads and prevent fraud. Depending on your choices, advertising can involve personalized ads and tracking across apps or websites.
The app does not add the personal app content listed above as advertising keywords or page content. Google’s own SDK processing is separate from that local content.
The current TestFlight beta uses Google test ads. Test ads do not generate publisher revenue, and their use does not mean that the SDK makes no network requests.
Your advertising choices
- The app refreshes Google’s consent information before requesting ads. UMP provides applicable consent forms and, when required by Google, Settings offers Ad privacy choices (or Privacy & ad choices) so you can reopen them.
- On iPhone, Apple’s App Tracking Transparency prompt lets you allow or refuse tracking. If you refuse, the app cannot access your IDFA. You can change this in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking. On Android, the advertising ID can be reset or deleted in device settings.
- Settings → Personalized ads (within the Privacy or Privacy & ads section where present) lets you turn personalization off. Subsequent requests ask Google for non-personalized ads and carry the restricted data processing signal. This control is the app’s targeted-advertising opt-out. It does not erase data Google previously received.
- A refusal or an unavailable ad does not remove the core local features of the app.
Sharing and other system services
The app does not upload game answers, favorites or scores to a Daily Trivia server. A system share action, if you choose one, is handled by the destination service.
Ratings
The app may ask Apple or Google to display the operating system’s standard rating prompt. The store handles a rating or review you choose to submit. The app records local request dates to avoid asking too often; it does not learn the rating you give.
Your local data controls
- Your results and favorites can be viewed in the app. The current beta does not expose a general JSON export or a Delete all data button in Settings.
- Uninstalling the app removes its local database. Device backups, if enabled, are managed separately by your device provider.
Retention and deletion
Game records and preferences remain in the app database until removed or the app is uninstalled. There is no developer account or remote copy of this progress. A backup or restored app can retain a separate copy according to your device settings.
Google manages the information its advertising and consent tools process under its own policies and controls. Local deletion does not erase Google’s records or change the tracking permission managed by your operating system.
Children, security and privacy requests
The publisher’s apps are not directed to children under 13. The app is configured for general-audience advertising; an ad content rating is not a promise of a particular store age rating.
App storage relies on your device’s security. Keep the device and operating system secure. If you have a privacy question, need help with the controls, or believe a child has provided information, contact contact@smartnesshome.com. Privacy rights depend on where you live; the controls described above are available without creating an account.
Changes and contact
We will update this policy when the app’s data handling changes. Privacy and support: contact@smartnesshome.com. Postal address: SMARTNESS HOME, 5 rue Agrippa d'Aubigné, 91090 Lisses, France.
Your privacy rights and how to exercise them
Where applicable data-protection law gives you these rights, you may request access to personal information about you, correction of inaccurate information, deletion, or restriction of its use. You may object to processing where that right applies, and request a portable copy where the legal conditions for portability are met. These rights have conditions and exceptions; they are not a promise that every record must be erased in every situation.
Where processing is based on your consent, you may withdraw that consent at any time. Withdrawal does not affect the lawfulness of processing before you withdrew it. Use the available Ad privacy choices or Privacy & ad choices entry in Settings for Google’s consent tools, and the operating system’s tracking controls for Apple’s tracking permission.
To exercise a right relating to information SMARTNESS HOME holds, email contact@smartnesshome.com or write to SMARTNESS HOME, 5 rue Agrippa d'Aubigné, 91090 Lisses, France. Tell us which app and request you mean. We do not hold a remote copy of the local app content described here. To manage information on your phone, use the app controls described above. Contacting us does not upload the database from your phone.
For information Google processes for its own advertising services, use Google’s privacy information and controls linked below, or contact Google through those services. Changing an ad choice or deleting local app data does not itself delete information Google previously received.
You may lodge a complaint with the French data-protection authority, the CNIL, at https://www.cnil.fr/fr/plaintes, or with another competent supervisory authority. The CNIL website explains the relevant complaint procedure. You can also contact us if you would like help with a privacy concern.
