Every article on this blog is written and reviewed by the SmartnessHome team: the same small group that designs, builds and ships our mobile apps — GetMyNews, Kalo.Quest, Holdtotal, Vaxnext and Arcane78.
What we write about
We write about the things we work on every day: local-first software, mobile privacy, and the practical subjects our apps live in — news reading, nutrition tracking, crypto portfolios, family health records and tarot. When an article touches one of our own apps, we say so plainly; the goal is always that the article is useful on its own, whether or not you ever install anything.
How we keep articles honest
Three rules apply to every post. Numbers come either from our own products or from a cited source — never from thin air. Claims about our apps match what the apps actually do, in the same words as their store listings and privacy policies. And when a topic has genuine trade-offs, we name them, including the limits of our own approach.
